Thank you for your wonderful posting…it was nice to read. It has been 1 year, 4 months, 24 days since my Dad passed away, suddenly. I’m glad to hear how you are doing as I see familiar feelings in there. It seemed for months I couldn’t breathe when I thought of my Dad. The sadness was such a hard weight to bare. It did get easier to breathe and deal with the sadness. Does it just become another part of you, that sadness? Is it that you just learn to live with it, because now it is a part of you, cause I don’t believe it goes away. I can now look at pictures of him and not always cry, listen to his favorite music and not always cry. I love to talk about him but now I am crying (which is okay and one of my kids will bring me kleenex) . Sometimes I think I won’t and then…I miss him so much. My kids miss their Grandad. He too was a good man, a wonderful Grandad, and he too made his mistakes but learned from them. He was a funny man and would do anything for anyone. He was a big man with a big heart and the best compliment I receive is when people tell me that I am just like him. His birthday is Mar 15th and I have been wondering how to celebrate that day. He would have been 60. So I will toast a drink to your wonderful Dad! And I will toast to you, for being strong and going on. Thank you again for sharing that!
